As if the return of warm, sunny weather isn’t enough to get you hungry for some outdoor fun - the Angle Lake area is offering up a Triple Header Treat this weekend. Entertainment abounds starting off with the Second Annual Tasty Tapas Float Around hosted by the Angle Lake Shore Club this Saturday at 4 PM. Guests will float to various stations positioned on the East/West arm of the lake where they will enjoy tasty appetizers and delicious drink while mingling with over 100 of their neighbors.
On Sunday at 1:00 PM, the Highline/SeaTac Botanical Gardens will be hosting their annual “Ice Cream Social and Plant Sale” with special guest Ciscoe Morris (pssst – they’re offering FREE ice cream to the first 300 guests – so get there early!). The membership drive and fund raiser will be full of fun, treats and door prizes.
And finally at 5:00 PM, the City of Seatac will be serving up a real treat as the Music in the Park Series continues. Musical guest Ranger and the Re-Arrangers will be dishing out some delightful Gypsy Style Jazz. This band evokes the spirit of a Paris cafe or a Gypsy campsite with their unique twist on “gypsy jazz.” Intriguing melodies played vigorously on stringed-instruments give them an acoustic, driving sound; their hand drummer adds a world rhythm beat. The band features two outstanding jazz improvisers, Ranger on violin and Dave Stewart on mandolin. The band’s repertoire includes swing standards, traditional Gypsy melodies, the music of Django & Grappelli, Brazilian choros, and some unique originals.
The weather will be great, so get out there and get your fill of some mouth watering entertainment.
