Annual Events

A season does not go by at Angle Lake without a community event to look forward to. The Angle Lake Shore Club sponsors and hosts the following events annually. Most activities are free to participate in except where noted below.

2026 dates are as follows:

SPRING
  • May 9. Angle Lake Fishing and Community BBQ. This event is open to all members and non-members who purchase raffle tickets. A raffle ticket includes continental breakfast, entrance in the fishing extravaganza, barbecue lunch and a chance to win raffle prizes. Fishing prizes will be awarded based upon predefined categories; Raffle prizes will be awarded via random drawing.
SUMMER
  • July 4th. Independence Day Activities. The morning activities begin with the run around the lake competition followed by a fun neighborhood street parade at 11:00 beginning at 33rd Ave S and S. 194th St. The afternoon may include a paddle board poker run, swimming and boating races and in the evening, a Parade of Decorated Boats for a sunset cruise! All activities are open to members and non-members alike.
  • 1st Tuesday of August. National Night Out against crime. A potluck is held at the Manor Club Private Beach, providing Lake Community Residents an opportunity to tget to know one another and meet with fire, police and municipal legislative personnel. 
  • August 15. Barge Potluck Party on the elbow of the Lake.!
    • Tasty Tapas, our fan favorite summertime lakeside social event, is on sabatical until new volunteers are found to help put it on. Travel in themed costumes via decorated boats to four separate intermediate stops to sample worldly appetizers and paired libations before all coming together to a final dessert station destination. Open to Members Only and their invited Guests. If you wish to volunteer for 2027 let the president know.
FALL
  • Due to a judicial determination and governmental interpretation, any restricted area use on public waters has been eliminated. The Boat Races and the Open Water Swim Races have been Canceled and Removed. There are now no fall activities scheduled.  
WINTER
  • December 5. ALSC Holiday Catered Dinner Party. A Year-End party hosted by a member at their house. This is a members-only event and requires a ticket purchase to participate.
  • Late December. Holiday Boats Parade. Decorate your boat with festive lights and join the flotilla of holiday boats to tour the lake. Everyone is encouraged to participate by decorating your boat and joining the parade or watch lakeside with a roaring beach bonfire.
  • January 1st. New Years Day Freezin for a Reason Polar Plunge and Beach Brunch. Join neighbors for a bounty of brunch items from Azteca, Grand Central Bakery and Starbucks. Watch in amazement as the few brave and bold souls plunge into the water to the swim platform and back for small prizes and bragging rights! The reason for freezin is to replinish the food bank after the holiday rush, so bring food items or cash to donate. Many valuable prizes are raffled to all who donate with extra tickets going to those who wear costumes and/or plunge. 
Release from Liability: Recognizing that the ALSC, a not-for-profit neighborhood-based organization operating solely on a volunteer basis, will do its best to ensure a safe experience. It is important to understand that participation by any member(s) or non-member(s) in any activities sponsored by the ALSC is done so at the participants' own risk and doing so agrees to hold harmless the organization or its elected officers.

Just wondering why no one has removed the sinking boat from the lake. It is connected to one of the bouys used for the fireworks barge. It was placed there roughly 3 weeks ago and has been slowly filling up with water since then. From a concerned ALSC member.
