The "COOLEST" Event of the Year!

Help celebrate the New Year with a dip in the Lake!

A polar bear plunge is an event held during the winter where participants enter a body of water despite the low temperature. In the United States, polar bear plunges are usually held to raise money for a charitable organization. In Canada, polar bear swims are usually held on New Year's Day to celebrate the new year. At Angle Lake – it is both!

Help neighbors in need by generously donating packaged food and cash while event attendees will benefit by being eligible to win fabulous prizes! Simply bring a donation, enjoy a brunch buffet with coffee donated by Starbucks of Normandy Park and cheer or plunge at noon. For a heightened experience wear a costume and bring the kids.

One raffle ticket each will be awarded for:
Simply showing up between 11 and Noon New Years Day at the Manor Club Beach
Showing up in costume (if you plan to plunge or not)
Bringing non-perishable food items or cash to donate to the food bank (1 ticket per donor)
Taking the plunge!

To help ensure that the maximum number of attendees experience winning a prize, only one prize will be awarded per individual.

Fabulous prizes include:
An Overnight Stay at Cedarbrook Lodge, 18525 36th Ave S
Fifty minutes Cedarbrook spa treatment (2 gift certificates)
Dinner for 2 at Copperleaf Restaurant (2 gift certificates)
Hair cut at the Ultimate Solution Hair Salon, 3215 S.188th
Kitty treat basket from Paws in the Park, 17833 1st Ave S

Benefit our local emergency food bank; win fabulous prizes; enjoy the company of neighbors; and have FUN! There are no better reasons for freezin’!

Consult your physician prior to participating in the Polar Plunge to verify your fitness or sanity. Firemen will be on hand to resuscitate you, if needed. (No faking allowed.)

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

While Rudolph and the other reindeer rest up for the world wide trip on Christmas Eve and all the elves make final preparations, Santa will make a special trip to see the kids and their families around Angle Lake.
Santa will be making a limited number of stops around the lake and neighbors are invited to collect at the following locations.

When: Saturday, December 9th
NEW! Download a copy of the SANTA MAP

Schedule of Stops:
5:00 PM     Maria Rice and Andrew
5:20 PM     David and Maritza Gutierrez
5:40 PM     Harvey and Phyllis Picket
6:00 PM     Dave and Pam Yorozu
6:15 PM     Kathy Gehring
6:30 PM     Angle Lake Mobile Home Park
6:50 PM     Curtis and Kerry Steinke

NOTE: All times are approximate and regardless of rain, only strong winds will require canceling this event. Please contact Sandy Goulet via email at BSontheLake@comcast.net if you'd like to ride on one of the boats.

We encourage all who are interested visiting with Santa to gather at the above locations. Also as an added safety precaution, we are requesting that everyone remain on the beach prior to Santa’s arrival. Santa’s Elf Helpers will arrive just ahead of Santa to great guests and then permit a limited number of visitors out to the end of the dock at one time for a personal visit with Santa. Parents and Guardians, we’d appreciate your help in complying with this request. Santa will then sail in, visit with the kids, learn of their Christmas dreams and wishes and offer an opportunity for a digital photo to share via email with the parents.

A full lap around the lake will take a couple hours so watch for us, waive, flash your Christmas or porch lights as a sign of welcome for our special guest and his elf helpers.
A Special Thank You to Steve Beck for close connection with Santa Claus and arranging his visit with us during this demanding time of year!

The entire Angle Lake Shore Club Board wish for you and your family a Very Merry Christmas!
