Angle Lake Fireworks show was horrible for any pets living near the lake. 👎👎👎
Yes... most pets don't like fireworks, or sirens, or alarms, etc. Poor things get scared. For fireworks, one friend took her pets to a location that did not have fireworks... another put her puppy in the bathroom, a daughter let her dogs go to boarding, a safe happy place they can all avoid the noise. Another just uses the time to cuddle her dog and remind him that he's safe, and is loved during the nose. All good pet owners.
However, the fireworks were absolutely amazing! And I'm so glad we can use this day to Celebrate America and share the excitement with our family and friends. Show our children what the USA means.
We must remember, that while we only have to sacrifice listening to noise for a night, the huge sacrifice that our founding fathers went through for years to establish our freedoms was tenfold. Freedom to live freely, own pets, speak our voice. So, perhaps one evening of sacrifice is a reminder to appreciate why we live in such a beautiful place. We can all sacrifice for a day and tell our pets, "Yes, it may be loud, but in some countries you would be dinner so get over it for a night and be greatfull."
