Angle Lake is Open for Swimming Again

Celebrate with a jump in the lake as it is now OK to swim at Angle Lake Beach. However the water is so low, be sure to check the depth before you plunge in. The ALSC will inquire of the King County Natural Resources and Parks as to what can be done to replenish the lake to prevent another year of this low water level. We wonder if the low level is one of the reasons the bacteria count is up. We will also inquire whether drawing water from the lake to water lawns may be having an adverse affect on the water level. Stay tuned for answers.

For more information please visit https://lnks.gd/2/33r2Hv9. To see a chart of the bacteria counts last week versus this week go to this link https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/dnrp/nature-recreation/parks-recreation/king-county-parks/water-recreation/swimming-beach-bacteria-temperature

Scroll to the bottom of the page that opens in the above link. Scroll past the map to the chart. It shows that the Bacteria Sample A came in at 7400 on Sept 8th and now, September 16th, it has returned to 6. A shocking difference.

The water level at Angle Lake Beach is low!
