A Unique Opportunity for our Community this Saturday

William Westlake Walker, a special guest at the Angle Lake RV park, will be celebrating his 80th birthday with us this  Saturday, September 20th at 5:00 PM. Mr. Walker is known for his remarkable discovery of two Aboriginal canoes in Angle Lake during 1989 and 1990. After working closely with local tribes and authorities, he was granted permission to personally excavate the canoes, which were later carbon-dated to the 1600s. He and his wife—who is also here with him—played a key role in the discovery, recovery, and restoration of these significant historical artifacts.

Mr. Walker has generously offered to share the story of his discovery and the history of Angle Lake with any of us who are interested. This special talk will take place on Saturday, September 20th at 5:00 PM.

Bring a chair and come ready to listen and learn—it promises to be a fascinating conversation!

They'll be gathering at the RV Park dock at 5pm, Saturday. Come by boat or car.

Anyone interested can park in the lot before the gate (highlighted in yellow). Pedestrian gate code c1976.

We will be at the beach (red x) at 5 pm!
