I’d like to thank Orin Hadler and the Manor Club for extending an open invitation to all our neighbors to hear Todd Cutts, our INTERIM City Manager, speak. Thank you also to Steve and Debbie Beck for hosting the meeting with Todd Cutts at their home.
Manor Community Club President Orin Hadler introduces speaker, Todd Cutts
And finally a BIG THANKS to Todd Cutts for taking the initiative and spending his time meeting with the residents of Angle Lake helping to enlighten us of some of the current issues, sharing plans regarding existing and upcoming projects effecting our neighborhood. His presentation was delivered in terms we could all understand, his style is casual and approachable, open, non-biased and very informative. It was also very beneficial having Councilman Tony Anderson at the meeting to offer additional comment, explanations and points of view from a council member's position. Although approximately 28 people were in attendance, it certainly would have been nice to see more of our citizens there but I think it's a start in the right direction. Hopefully this blog site can assist in generating increased awareness when additional meetings like these are being offered in the future.
The evening’s topics ranged from the overall sidewalk program, to the status of various parcels of property currently owned by the City, status of other privately owned property either under development or slated for future development, the status on the possible extension of Hwy 509, the City Budget and many more including the City's co-sponsorship of our local fireworks show.
I will be providing additional material on this last topic, a subject that is of course near and dear to my heart, in a separate blog post coming soon. So stay tuned and get in the habit of checking in with the site as we work to encourage you all to engage in our community activities to help shape our neighborhood into the best that it can be.
