Treat Mom to Mother's Day!
Mother’s Day, the movie, is a feature film celebrating mothers everywhere. This big-hearted comedy invites us all to enjoy the laughter, tears and love as three generations come together in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.
Directed by Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman, Beaches, Valentine's Day, The Princess Diaries, etc) the star studded comedy ensemble includes motion picture stars Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis who share the screen with our very own Angle Lake Shore Club member, Rodger May! Rodger not only performed about a four second cameo appearance in the film but also served as Executive Producer.
If you have not yet seen the film, I encourage you to see it! It is a heart-warming film about moms and their adventures during the week leading up to Mother's Day. It is the type of movie that is very rarely made today -- one that is a good-humored, heart-warming film that your entire family can enjoy! And so far feedback from neighbors who have seen the film has been extremely positive indicating that they really liked it.
Word-of-mouth advertising is also very important for the movie. So, once you've watched it, please tell your friends to see it as well! And what Rodger would really appreciate is if you would please rate the film on Rotten Tomatoes (please go to http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/771422158/ ) and give an honest rating. Five stars is the best rating that you can provide. Your comments are also welcome.
If you have any questions about the movie, Rodger welcomes anyone to call, text or email him – his contact information is in the neighborhood directory. I'm sure he'd be willing to share his autograph too, if you were to ask! ;-)
Women's Wellness Classes - Free!
To the Ladies; you won’t believe it, but this class is offered free to women in our area and inexplicably they are having trouble filling it. Please consider attending. Something this valuable, offered for our benefit, at no cost is rare. It will most likely help you save a life, maybe even your own! I recommend it with all my heart! Pun intended.
You don't need to take all classes, but a gift certificate is even offered if you make 7 of the 9 classes.
I am so glad I took this 2 hour class held once a week for nine weeks. I was stunned by how much I didn't know about women's health and how to spot and prevent common threats like heart disease, stroke, diabetes and more. They even taught us the new CPR method which is much easier than the one I learned years ago.
If you are available to attend or care about women friends who might be able to, this class is a must. They even provide free blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and Body Mass Index screenings. And they don't charge a dime! In fact, they even offer snacks. Healthy ones, of course!
The next 9-week session begins April 28th. Feel free to call the Global to Local office where the class is held for more information, Mary Kathleen 206-890-9676. They even offer classes in Spanish beginning March 30th and Somali beginning April 29th.
