We're heading into the 4th of July with a complete menu of our traditional Angle Lake community events; we've also added a Paddleboard Poker Run, and we are bringing back the Public Fireworks Display bigger than ever!
Please note some significant changes for this year:
- The City will not be hosting music or other activities at the park this year. Vehicles will be restricted from using the parking lot, and the boat ramp will remain closed on July 4th. However, the Splash Pad and Park area will remain open to enjoy all day, including up to the end of the fireworks display.
- The start times for several of our community events have changed. Please review the schedule below to verify start times.
- The Fireworks display will be produced from three different locations this year. It will require extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety. Once the barges begin to deploy, beginning at approximately 7 pm, everyone is required to stay out of the areas as indicated on the map below. We will have extra patrols located around the lake to help ensure that you adhere to these requirements. We also ask that you observe city law and refrain from using any personal fireworks. Your compliance is greatly appreciated.

- Immediately following the swim races – the action will shift to boat racing. If it floats, then we'll let you race it! Show up in any kind of watercraft, and we'll find a category to put you in. Join in the fun and paddle, pedal, row, or sail your way to victory. Louvier Beach at post 46.
7:00 pm – Festive Boat Float
- Consider leveraging your dock/beach decorations used in the dock contest to adorn your watercraft. Then, head on over to the EAT sign at Todd Beach to join a Patriotic Pontoon Boat Parade around Angle Lake! The convoy will circle the lake to greet neighbors in celebration!
10:00 pm – The 4th of July Finale
- This year promises to deliver the largest, most impressive fireworks display ever over the waters of Angle Lake! The presentation will launch from three separate barge locations. It will feature numerous shells lifted to fill the sky in an artistic display for ultimate viewing pleasure.
- Please note that for safety reasons, the parking lot and public boat launch at Angle Lake Park will be closed all day on July 4th, and the fire permit requires the designated fallout zones to be cleared. Please refrain from firing any personal fireworks or entering these designated areas.
Events of this size cannot be done without the help and cooperation of many people. A special and sincere thank you is given to each of the volunteers who have donated their time in helping to coordinate these events and to all our Shore Club and community members who have contributed financially - THANK YOU for your support.
If you have not yet contributed this year, please send your donation to PO Box 69477, SeaTac, WA 98168. Suggested donation for waterfront properties is $150, less for those off the water. Thank You.
Have a Happy and Safe Independence Day!
