Let's Fill The Lake with Music!

Can you imagine? What if for one day, the hustle and bustle of everyday life quieted down, and all we heard were the beautiful sounds of music?

This dream becomes reality on Saturday, August 31st, with the 10th annual Play Music on the Porch Day! This global event brings people together to celebrate the power of music in a fun, relaxed setting – right on our own porches!

Join the Harmony! Here's How:

• Grab your instrument: Whether you're a seasoned musician or just learning a few chords, dust off your guitar, ukulele, harmonica, or anything that makes your heart sing!
• Head outside: Find a comfy spot on your porch, stoop, or at Angle Lake Park!
• Play your heart out! Solo or gather your friends and neighbors for a mini-concert. It's all about sharing the joy of music.
• Spread the love: Share a video of your performance on social media using the hashtag #playmusicontheporchday. Let's see our neighborhood transformed into a vibrant musical tapestry!

More Ways to Participate:

• Can't play an instrument? No problem! Be a part of the audience by setting up a chair and simply enjoying the music that fills the air.

Shore Club Tapas Event: A Cosmic Culinary Adventure

The Shore Club's recent Tasty Tapas Float About was a spectacular success, drawing a diverse and colorful crowd to Angle Lake. From Bathing Beauties to Vikings, aliens to French Nationals, with a splash of Nauti Sailors, the event was a melting pot of cultures and costumes.

Guests were treated to a culinary journey through four themed appetizer stations before culminating in a decadent dessert spread. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with the delicious food and unique company, made for a truly unforgettable evening.

Your Voice Matters! Help Shape SeaTac's Human Services Programs

The City of SeaTac is committed to providing its residents with the best possible social services and programs.  But they need your input!

Fireworks Pledge Drive Update!

Hey everyone,

We wanted to give you a quick update on our community fireworks pledge drive! As of today, we've received a fantastic response with 49 residents participating. That includes 4 impressive pledges towards the $1,000 challenge!

Thanks to your generosity, we've raised a total of $15,250 in pledges, which puts us at 61% of our goal. We still need to raise $9,750 to reach our target and secure a dazzling firework display with Halo Fireworks, our preferred provider.

There's still time to join the fun! The pledge drive remains open until August 31st. Every contribution, big or small, gets us closer to a spectacular firework show for our community.

Here's how you can contribute:

• Spread the word! Tell your friends and neighbors about the drive.
• Consider a social media share! Help us reach our goal by sharing this update on your favorite platforms.

We'll send out another update on September 1st to announce whether we've reached our target and can move forward with Halo. Fingers crossed!
