Shakespeare in the Park

The Seattle Shakespeare Company will be performing "Othello" on stage at Angle Lake Park this Friday, July 16th starting at 7:00 PM.
This famous play is a tragedy of a deception taken a step too far. After the high-ranking general Othello bypasses Iago for a promotion, the cunning manipulator enacts his revenge. By playing on the Moor’s insecurities, Iago paints a false vision of Othello’s unfaithful wife Desdemona which leads to a murderous fit of jealousy.

Bring your dinner and a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this great theatrical performance of "Othello" under the twilight sky.

Careful What You Ask For!

Having endured a string of 272 consecutive days where temperatures had been cooler than 74 degrees - I am sure that more than a few of us at some point during that time had been hoping for much warmer weather . It appears these wishes have been granted!
According to the latest weather reports, summer is upon us with a vengence where temperatures are expected to reach into the 90's. With concern for residents who may be succeptible to the ill affects of higher than normal temperatures, we encourage you to check in on any at risk neighbors. Please also be aware that the City of Seatac has announced through a recent Press Release a reminder that the SeaTac Community Center will be open, providing air conditioned facilities to help provide relief from the heat.

For the rest of you, "Go Jump In The Lake!"
