The following announcements aren’t Shore Club related but might benefit our members to know.

Fire Station 45 Open House

Several members toured the old fire house back in March and now you have a chance to tour the new!

The City of SeaTac is proud to announce the completion of construction on Fire Station 45 and will be hosting an open house on Saturday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. located at 3011 S. 200th St. with the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m. 

“The open house will provide a perfect opportunity for individuals and families to tour the station, meet our firefighters and participate in all of the great activities we have planned.” said Mayor Siefkes. The events include a photo booth, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, station, engine and self guided tours will be held with light refreshments also provided. Parking for the event will be at nearby Madrona Elementary School, 3030 S. 204th St., just down the block from the station. A shuttle will bring you to the fire station and will return you to the school. The shuttle will run from 9:45 a.m. until the end of the event.

South 200th Street Closure

Temporary closure of S 200th Street in SeaTac between Des Moines Memorial Drive and 26th Avenue S begins in June.

Sound Transit crews will be building a new culvert over Des Moines Creek along S 200th Street beginning as early as Wednesday, June 1. South 200th Street will be closed to thru traffic between Des Moines Memorial Drive and SR 99/International Boulevard to perform this work. Local access will be provided east and west of the creek. 

A full road closure is needed to get the work completed in a safe and efficient manner. This work is expected to take approximately two months to complete.
